Thank you so much for writing for me! There's a lot of things I like and only a few dealbreakers, so if none of my prompts spark your interest, feel free to go with another idea, work of my likes list, do something else for the freeforms, or something else entirely, as long as my DNWs aren't hit. Just because I didn't prompt something, doesn't mean I don't want it, just that it didn't occur to me. + Animal cruelty. I’m fine if a vampire has to eat an animal to survive, but in that case I would prefer no detailed descriptions of the act.
+ Graphic depictions of abuse. The aftereffects abuse or trauma of abuse is okay, I actually love reading about complicated trauma responses. Characters coping with abuse is okay. PTSD and trauma flashbacks is all okay. Really, I just don't want a blow by blow account of the actual events.
+ Graphic depictions of child death. Alluded to, or as part of the plot is okay, though. I am fine with more child serial killing in Sharp Objects, for example, as long as its all off screen, aftermath, aftereffects of it.
+ Cancer, or any terminal illnesses.
+ Miscommunication as a plot point.
+ Cross-gen incest, bestiality, a/b/o, watersports, scat. Noncon.
+ Socially accepted incest. I like to feel the weight and wrongness of what they're doing, even if the characters themselves don't have a problem with it (though I love incest guilt, don't get me wrong), or people in the immediate circle are okay with it. I don't like AUs where incest is acceptable, or everyone treating it like no big deal.

So I watched Barry recently and while I think the character is really different from Dexter in fundamental ways (Barry doesn't enjoy killing people being the main one), the show is hitting me in all my residual Dexter feelings, and I started shipping it. Theyre both interesting serial murderers who are desperately trying to forge some kind of normal life but can’t actually give up the murder aspect of who they are. I would love to see them just meet and size each other up. I would love anything that plays on the dichotomy of what they want and what they actually are, and their limited but intense capacity for emotions. I am good with a happy ending or downer ending where they kill each other off or anywhere in between.

+ Barry and Dexter immediately pick up that there's something off about each other but can't figure out just what.

+ I think these two prompts work well together and I think horror movies AU are always great. Feel free to take this in whatever direction you want--could be any horror movie you're interested in, a zombie apocalypse, or a slasher flick--Barry/Dexter AU set in high school when people start dying around them would be awesome.
+ As for people starting to mysteriously disappear, I think some kind of way where they work together in a civilian context would be interesting, especially if Barry started to put the pieces together Doakes style, or if Dexter started noticing something off about Barry. Or if you want to go full AU, some small town AU living situation where people they know start to disappear and they suspect each other.

+ Additionally, Dexter still killing while they're on the road and Debra having to deal with that.
+ Honestly anything with the immediate aftermath of killing Laguerta--them going home that night, taking care of the body, Debra washing off, and how do they sleep after that. I predict Dexter sleeps like a baby but Debra can't rest.
+ Sad, desperate, emotionally fucked up post murdering Laguerta sex.
+ Debra hiding the truth from everyone post S7. Feel free to ignore S8.

+ I just really liked the episode where Seth almost became a cannibal and thought the show copped out by not letting him eat anyone. Let Seth eat people! Not necessarily Dakota, I like her, but he can at least nibble on someone please.
+ Something set after Shady Glen, maybe an AU where Richie was never kidnapped, and they all think Seth is okay but he still has cannibalistic urges. Seth trying to hide them from everyone while low key trying to find someone to eat.

I would love to see them just meet and size each other up. + Anything with Susie as Mother Suspiriorum--I am open to many interpretations, I just want so much more of it, it was my favorite development in the movie and the best surprise ever.
+ I like the thought of Susie always knowing she's Mother Suspiriorum, from the start, and only pretending to be a naive girl, but I also love the thought of Susie becoming Mother Suspiriorum throughout the movie, either by mentally joining with her in some way, or unblocking memories that blocked her knowledge of being Mother Suspiriorum.
+ How much of Susie is left at the end?
+ What does it MEAN to be Mother Suspiriorum? Is she a goddess or a very powerful witch? Does she get reborn over and over?
+ Child/teen Susie, knowing she's different but not knowing how, and not fitting in with her family. Younger Susie having nightmarish dreams she doesn't understand yet.
